    *Approximate price range indicated. The price for each kitten is individual and depends on many factors, including the type of kitten, breed rarity, color rarity, etc.

    Why such a price difference? Where do cheap kittens come from (not ours) ?

    Here are some reasons:

    1. A kitten given out as a particular breed is not at all it. It can be a mestizo, or a different breed altogether, or maybe even a mongrel animal. At a very young age, it is difficult to determine who exactly is in front of you. The little kittens are all cute and cute. As a rule, they try to sell such kittens in a month and a half.

    2. Some owners do not spend much energy and material resources on obtaining and raising healthy kittens. That is why I can offer kittens for a low price. Such people forget about basic sanitation and quality feeding. Kittens develop rickets, helminthic invasion, chlamydia and other diseases. Such people are trying to quickly sell and cheaper kittens that are not quite healthy, or worse with pathologies.

    Therefore, when purchasing an inexpensive kitten, you should be prepared for the fact that your joy from the low price of a small kitten is replaced by disappointment and anger at the seller. Not only can something remotely resembling the breed for which money was paid can grow out of it, it will also grow into a sickly animal, or die altogether. It may not be possible to cure a kitten that is obviously sick - it is not easy and very expensive to cope with a neglected disease. You need to spend much more money on treatment than buying a healthy kitten from a cattery in the first place. Wasted money and frustration from the death of an already beloved pet can lead to strong emotional experiences for both the owner and his children.

    Approximate prices for kittens in the USA:

    Scottish, British, Abyssinian and Bengal:

    500-1000 USD As a rule, these are kittens with a marriage, without documents. Choosing a kitten of these breeds in this price category, you can stumble upon scammers and get a mestizo kitten (at best) or a sick kitten, the treatment of which takes an amount many times more than what was spent on the purchase, or even the kitten dies. So it's better not to risk it.

    1000-2000 USD - medium quality kittens, often with a simple pedigree. Usually this is a kitten of an ordinary outstanding color. Buying a kitten for such an amount, you can count on getting a thoroughbred cat, but you should not count on the absence of marriage or vices in this cat.

    From 3000-5000 USD - if you are looking for a kitten with whom you would like to conquer exhibitions and breed or have a kitten of an exclusive and expensive color, then consider kittens for this price. But as mentioned above, the cost of a kitten is made up of many factors, and also depends on the rarity of the color and the rarity of the breed itself, so the price can reach 10,000-25,000 USD. As a rule, this is a Chausie and the most expensive cat in the world Savannah F1. For these hybrid breeds, the price depends on the generation, the closer the wild relative (serval or jungle cat), the more expensive the kitten.

    Kitten price. Expensive or cheap?

    Many buyers wonder why a kitten is expensive? But you want to buy a thoroughbred, healthy, beautiful, contact and educated animal? A breeder-felinologist sets a price for a kitten based on its individual characteristics. What affects the price of a kitten and what the cost is formed from:

    1. Purebred;
    2. Hereditary traits;
    3. Healthy and strong genetics;
    4. Exterior features;
    5. The qualities of parents are producers;
    6. Further show-perspective;
    7. Guarantee of health, quality, good heredity;

    As well as the costs and investments of the breeder himself:

    1. To purchase quality manufacturers;
    2. Their qualitative content, education;
    3. Quality feeding;
    4. Professional veterinary care;
    5. Paperwork for a kitten;
    6. Proper upbringing;
    7. Professional socialization.

    The question arises - what kind of kittens are sold at a "cheap price"? I answer - remove the 14 above items - here is your answer. So decide that it is better to buy a kitten cheaper, "For yourself" without documents and guarantees of breed, health and exterior. Constantly doubt the breed of your own cat, bought “for yourself”. Or still have something that pleases the eye, warms the soul, delights not only you, but everyone around you.

    What breed of cats to choose ?

    Choosing a breed is a difficult question for a future owner. Several of the most popular cat breeds are represented in our cattery. Small and large, fluffy and smooth-haired: Scottish and British kittens, Bengal and Abyssinian, Savannah and Chausie. Therefore, even the most demanding customer will be able to find a kitten of his dreams in our cattery. We have compiled a guide to choosing a cat breed to help future owners. Breeds are distributed according to the characteristics of the character, care and lifestyle of the owner of the cat.

    The nature:

    Calm cats

    There are cats who do not like to run around the master's shelves. You can eat well and then sleep well! Calm cat breeds are a good choice for phlegmatic people. The following breeds are true couch potatoes:

    • Scottish
    • British

    Sociable

    Communicating with your cat is a pleasant experience that talkative pets will happily share with the owner. If you want to “talk” with your cat every day, the following breeds are suitable:

    • Scottish
    • Bengal
    • Chausie Cat

    Silent cats

    Meowing can also irritate the owner of the cat.

    If you prefer not to hear extra sounds, choose from these breeds:

    • British
    • Abyssinian Cat
    • Savannah Cat

    Care:

    Short-haired breeds: they do an excellent job of caring for their coat.

    Long-haired breeds: require periodic brushing.

    Active and energetic

    Active cats are fun to watch. Owners of energetic cat breeds will have to constantly think about what to do with their pet. But it's worth it! They will happily solve your puzzles and look forward to the next ones. Great for families with children. These are the cats that love to be active:

    • Abyssinian Cat
    • Bengal Cat
    • Savannah Cat
    • Chausie Cat

    Care:

    Short-haired breeds: they do an excellent job of caring for their coat.

    Long-haired breeds: require periodic brushing.

    According to your lifestyle:

    The situation in the house and the life principles of the owner are an important aspect when choosing a cat breed. Not all breeds will be comfortable in every family.

    For busy people

    If the owner is rarely at home, he needs a cat that does not require much communication and care. Such a pet must have a self-sufficient character. Such cats will happily meet the owner from work, but will not bother if he is not in the mood. These pets do not require complex care and will always find something to do on their own. Check out the following cat breeds if you consider yourself a workaholic:

    • Scottish
    • British
    • Chausie Cat

    For housewives

    Housewives or those who work remotely at home often lack communication. Such a person should choose a cat with a sociable character. Loyal cats will gladly brighten up days and evenings with their purring. They love attention.

    Such cats will create coziness in your home and will bring you only positive emotions:

    • Abyssinian Cat
    • Bengal Cat
    • Savannah Cat

    Choosing the sex of a kitten:

    Choosing the sex of a kitten is the second most important question after you have decided on the breed. Male or female? What is the difference in the behavior and maintenance of a cat or a cat?

    Male Kitten

    Kittens, boys, as a rule, are also affectionate and maximally attached to a person. They are very expressive in their feelings. All the tenderness and love that a cat brings to its kittens, the cat gives to a person.

    Kitten Female

    The female cat is gentle and affectionate. At the same time, it remains independent of a person in everyday life.

    What is the difference?

    If the male is just affectionate, tame, then the female can show true love. She seems to know what the owner is doing for her, and pays tribute, is grateful. But at the same time, it is wayward. The female comes to her knees, gives her thanks and leaves. It is up to her to decide what to do. And the males are just submissive, complaisant. Another point worth paying attention to: males in any breed are larger than females. Males look more presentable. The females are smaller.

    Color choice:

    As a result of breeding, various colors of cats have been created. Some breeds include several colors in the standard. Let's analyze the most popular and desired colors.

    Scottish and British cats:

    Summary:

    Now silver and gold chinchillas with green eyes are very popular in these breeds. These are the most expensive and most popular colors. The most exclusive - blue-eyed chinchilla.

    Blue-eyed chinchillas:

    Blue-eyed chinchillas are charming rare representatives of the Scottish and British breeds. Scottish blue-eyed chinchillas, with their striking blue eyes and soft, light-colored fur, are a favorite among chinchilla lovers. Scottish blue-eyed chinchillas are the result of selective breeding. They are a rare genetic variation and require certain genes to be present in both parents in order to develop blue eyes. This unique eye color requires the presence of the ns 11 33, ns 12 33, ny 11 33, or ny 12 33 gene. Breeding Scottish blue-eyed chinchillas is a difficult task, as it requires knowledge of genetics and careful selection of breeding pairs.

    Silver chinchillas with green eyes:

    The silver chinchilla has the same variations as the gold color, except that instead of the golden-peach hue of the main hair, the silver has a white base color. The color of the silvery chinchilla is similar to the coat of a polar fox, because of the black tips of the hairs, the coat "silver" and shimmers when moving.

    Golden chinchillas with green eyes:

    Golden kittens can be spotted or tabby, shaded or ticked. In shaded ones, the pattern fades over time - it blurs, their color is more uniform - both on the body and on the muzzles. Ticked color - such kittens are born without a single spot, or dark gold or the color of a ripe orange. All varieties of the golden color are good and elegant, each in its own way, they are united by 2 mandatory requirements - the undercoat should not be gray, but have either a cream or pale peach hue and the color of the eyes from baby blue should fade over time into greenish shades.

    Other colors:

    Colors of Abyssinian cats:

    One of the distinguishing features of Abyssinian cats is their unique ticked coloration. The coat from afar seems to be monochromatic, but upon closer inspection, it actually consists of several colored stripes on each individual hair. The tinted color creates a beautiful shimmering effect in the sun. The main color tone of Abyssinian cats is “wild”, Sorel, Blue, Fawn and silver. The most popular color is the classic red Abyssinian - “wild” color. It is a warm orange-red hue. The second most popular color is blue, which is a greyish-blue hue with a dark undertone.

    Colors of Bengal cats:

    One of the most popular colors of Bengal cats is the rosette on gold. This stunning color is a combination of light brown and gold with characteristic rosettes. The rosettes are darker than the base coat tone and are located randomly on the cat's body. Rosette on gold is a very popular color as it gives the Bengal cat a wild and exotic look.

    Despite the fact that rosette on gold is the most popular color among Bengal cat lovers, there are other colors that are no less stunning. One of them is blue. This color is a combination of blue and gray with a slight shimmer that gives the coat a beautiful and exotic look. The blue color is not as common as the rosette on gold, but it is still in great demand among Bengal cat lovers.

    Another unique color of Bengal cats is the melanistic color. This color is dark black, with no visible markings on the coat. The melanistic Bengal cat looks almost black, like a panther. The melanistic coloration is rare among Bengal cats, but is highly prized for its exotic appearance. The coat has a subtle sheen that gives it a beautiful and unique look, making it highly sought after by Bengal cat lovers.

    Chausie colors:

    Chausie cats are a hybrid breed resulting from the crossing of a wild Jungle cat and a domestic cat. This breed has a unique appearance and comes in a variety of colors.

    Chausie ticked cats have a unique coat pattern that is different from other cat breeds. The ticked pattern gives them a wild and exotic ancestral look, with each hair streaked with light and dark colors. The base color of ticked Chausie cats is usually light beige or fawn, with dark stripes on each hair.

    Chausie melanistic cats are black in color, with a solid dark coat. This color variation is rare and is caused by a genetic mutation. Melanism occurs when melanin production is increased, resulting in a black coat. Melanistic Chausie cats have dark eyes, nose, and paw pads, giving them a unique appearance.

    Savannah colors:

    Savannah cats are a hybrid breed resulting from crossing a domestic cat with a wild African serval. They are known for their tall, slender build, long legs, large ears and come in:

    The spot on gold is a color characteristic exclusively for the Savannah cat breed. The color has a golden basic tone on which black spots are scattered. The spots may be round or elongated, may be small or large. The basic tone of the coat can vary from light beige to a rich golden hue. The contrast between the golden background color and the black flecks is a striking wild look that is sure to grab attention. The spots are also often found on the paws, tail and face of the cat, which makes it even more unique.

    Other questions:

    Kitten Documents:

    A cat, like a person, must have documents proving her identity, so it is important for future owners to know what documents a kitten should have. The presence of official documents is not only a necessity, but also a convenient package that allows you to rationally organize the life of a companion. Having figured out what documents are needed for a kitten, and having them on hand, it will be easier for the owner to take care of the health and safety of the pet. He will be able to go on a trip with a cat to another city or another country without additional hassle. Those who purchase a kitten with the right to breed cannot do without official documents.

    Identity documents will be needed by any domestic cat. But for a thoroughbred kitten, their complete set is necessary. In addition, before buying a purebred pet, a breeder usually concludes an agreement on its reservation (booking) or purchase / sale. The contract may include an advance payment and be signed by the parties before the birth of the kitten, if the future owner is interested in offspring from certain breeders. In the future, for a thoroughbred pet, the following documents will be required:

    • kitten sale and purchase agreement;
    • birth certificate of a kitten;
    • pedigree;
    • veterinary passport.

    Contract of sale:

    When purchasing a thoroughbred kitten in an official cattery specializing in breeding cats, future owners sign a contract of sale. Such a document confirms the ownership of the animal, which passes from the breeder to the buyer. Official papers may be needed under unforeseen circumstances. For example, if conflict situations arise in the family of the owner of a cat - divorce, division of property. The contract of sale indicates the place and date of its signing, the data of the breeder and the buyer, a detailed description of the animal. The document is accompanied by a kitten's birth certificate and a veterinary passport with data on vaccination by age.

    A kitten's birth certificate is one of the main documents of a cat; without it, it will be impossible to obtain a pet's pedigree in the future. The birth certificate must indicate:

    • the breed of the animal;
    • date of birth;
    • full name;
    • color;
    • floor;
    • information about the kitten's parents;
    • birth certificate number.

    You can also find marks that recommend the owner to conduct an additional examination of the kitten when he gets older. Some defects, such as bite, can be leveled with age, and then breeding restrictions can be lifted.

    The pet data recorded in the metric must exactly match the information specified in the sales contract.

    The birth certificate is certified by the seal and signature of the president of the club in which the breeder is a member. A birth certificate is issued by the breeder for each kitten from the litter when it is 45 days old. A birth certificate does not give the pet the right to take part in exhibitions, with the exception of those held in the baby, junior and pet classes.

    Pedigree:

    The birth certificate is changed to a pedigree if the cat is acquired with the right of breeding. The pedigree duplicates the information reflected in the birth certificate, and the pedigree is supplemented with the data of its owner, it indicates the name of the owner and his contact phone number. The exchange of a birth certificate for a pedigree can be entrusted to the breeder from whom the cat was purchased. Or apply on your own to the club that issued the kitten's birth certificate. When applying to the club on your own, you must confirm that the kitten was purchased with the right to breed, attaching a sales contract to the application.

    The pedigree and birth certificate are the only documents proving the purebred adult animal. In their absence, your pet will never be officially recognized as a thoroughbred, but will only be considered a cat that looks like a representative of any breed.

    It is in the pet's pedigree that its ancestors are recorded up to 3-4 generations. However, a pedigree with information about 3-4 generations of ancestors is necessary, mainly, for those owners who intend to use their pets in international exhibitions, to engage in breeding.

    Veterinary passport:

    When buying a kitten in a cattery or club, the owner is also given a veterinary passport. In one part of this book, outwardly similar to a human passport, the information placed in the metric is duplicated, but the passport is not proof of the purebred animal. The main pages in it are pages with data on vaccination of a pet. Information about rabies vaccinations is placed separately from information about other vaccinations.

    In the passport of any kitten transferred by the breeder to a new owner, there must be marks on vaccinations by age. For example, in the document of a two-month-old kitten there is data on one vaccination, a three-month-old baby - on two. Subsequently, throughout the life of the cat, the passport must be stamped on each vaccination and treatment against parasites.

    If you purchased a cat not in a cattery, and it does not have documents, you can go to a veterinary clinic for a veterinary passport. Some owners are limited to filling out the columns indicated in the document after they themselves carry out prophylaxis against parasites, deworming or vaccinate themselves - often in order to save money. If the vaccines are of high quality, then it does not matter whether they are made at home or in a veterinary clinic. However, a passport without the signature and seal of a veterinarian is not an official document and will only be "valid" for the owner of the animal.

    A properly issued veterinary passport is necessary for a cat as proof that communication with it will not be a threat to the health of others. Confirmation will be the marks indicated in the document on preventive vaccination against infectious diseases, treatment against ectoparasites, vaccination against rabies, which must be done once a year. If your pet bites a person or another animal, the information that it cannot be a distributor of such a dangerous viral infection as rabies will save the victim from complicated specialized treatment.

    Without a veterinary passport, your pet will not be able to take part in exhibitions. He will not be allowed to breed and breed.

    A veterinary passport will certainly be needed when traveling both within the country and abroad. Without it, the cat will not be allowed on the plane, on the train, they will not be allowed to be on the territory of the hotel.
